At the moment I'm building yet another giant gnome. This time I have 20+ helpers from the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. This 6 meter gnome will remain as a permanent sculpture on the campus. The project was funded by the University, Finnish Arts Promotion Center and Kordelin Foundation. Freelance Curator Jean Pitman and Professor Beatrix Reinhardt were the ones who made this happen. Brian Ortiz, labtech and printmaker has been a great help in everyday build. Sculpture will be finished by end of august and opening seremony with documentative exhibion will take place mid-september when I'll be back to my Helsinki-business.
